Google Cloud and Credem announced an extension of their collaboration to offer Google Workspace with Gemini to the bank’s staff, incorporating generative AI into everyday productivity tools.
This announcement is a component of the two firms’ long-term, multi-year strategic partnership. To facilitate the critical stages of its digital transformation process, including cloud infrastructure and strategic data management, Credem has already selected Google Cloud.
Credem’s innovation strategy, which aims to consistently improve service standards for end customers and give its staff cutting-edge tools to work more efficiently and devote more time to higher value-added activities, is further strengthened by the integration of Google Workspace with Gemini.
By accelerating information retrieval and optimizing time now spent on operational activities, access to Google Workspace with Gemini will assist Credem staff with everyday duties and increase productivity.
To construct AI agents—semiautonomous AI systems that can plan, carry out activities, and adapt to challenging tasks—Credem is also assessing the use of other Google Cloud resources, such as Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI.
All of this will be carried out in strict accordance with industry rules, guaranteeing total control over the processed data and confidentiality at all times.
Credem has started a comprehensive training and engagement program to guarantee successful and thoughtful adoption. By the end of the year, the firm plans to provide more than 30,000 hours of specialized AI training, beginning with an AI skills assessment for the entire workforce.
Piergiorgio Grossi, Chief Innovation & Data Officer at Credem, said,
“With the adoption of generative AI tools, we want to provide people with useful tools to work better, more efficiently, and dedicate more time to high-value-added activities. All of this is in line with our purpose, which we have summarized in the term Wellbanking, meaning to create sustainable value and well-being over time for our people, clients, stakeholders, and the communities in which we operate. In this case, Wellbanking means cultivating a professional environment that promotes growth, inclusion, and a healthy work-life balance, recognizing that well-being means working well. In this sense, we are convinced that the adoption of generative AI tools can be one of the pieces of this journey. This approach is fundamental because generative AI represents not only a technological evolution but implies a real change of mindset that everyone must embrace to keep pace with the times and fully seize the opportunities offered by these new frontiers.”
