Dell Boosts Private Cloud Flexibility, Security, and Performance with New Updates

Dell Technologies has unveiled a series of advancements to its private cloud infrastructure designed to help enterprises manage both traditional and modern workloads with greater speed, efficiency, and security.

As organizations grapple with rising operational costs, evolving virtualization needs, and concerns over vendor lock-in, many IT teams are increasingly shifting toward disaggregated private clouds that offer greater flexibility, choice, and control over data.

The company’s enhanced Dell Private Cloud, delivered through the Dell Automation Platform, provides customers with an automated, scalable solution that supports both on-premises and SaaS deployments.

It allows organizations to seamlessly manage private cloud environments using their preferred cloud OS stacks alongside Dell’s disaggregated infrastructure, including PowerStore, PowerFlex, and PowerMax. With AI-driven automation integrated into the platform, users can simplify infrastructure management and gain deeper visibility across deployments.

Dell has also integrated Dell NativeEdge into the Automation Platform to deliver a full-stack solution optimized for distributed cloud and edge environments. This integration is designed to simplify operations, enhance security, and provide consistent management across diverse deployment scenarios.

Recognizing that storage and cyber resilience are essential components of any private cloud, Dell has introduced significant innovations across its infrastructure portfolio. Dell PowerStore now offers enterprise-grade, high-performance storage tightly integrated with modern virtualization platforms and adaptable to containerized environments.

In a forthcoming update, the Nutanix Cloud Platform will also support PowerStore, combining Dell’s trusted storage innovation with Nutanix’s cloud operating model to give customers more deployment flexibility.

Meanwhile, Dell PowerFlex, the company’s software-defined block storage solution, delivers linear scalability and deep integration with virtualization and Kubernetes ecosystems. The new PowerFlex Ultra release introduces the Scalable Availability Engine (SAE), a major enhancement designed to simplify workload management, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

Dell PowerMax continues to serve mission-critical workloads with enterprise-class scalability, automation, and resiliency, offering up to 25 percent greater performance through recent software updates, along with full Kubernetes CSI support for container-based workloads.

On the cyber resilience front, Dell PowerProtect provides comprehensive protection for virtual, cloud-native, and containerized workloads across data centers and major public clouds.

With new appliance and software innovations, PowerProtect helps organizations reduce their attack surface, detect and respond to emerging threats, and ensure rapid recovery from cyber incidents to minimize business disruption.

Collectively, these enhancements reflect Dell Technologies’ ongoing commitment to delivering smarter, more secure, and more adaptable private cloud solutions.

By combining automation, resilience, and flexible infrastructure, Dell aims to empower organizations to modernize their IT environments while maintaining control over cost, performance, and data security.
