Insignia Financial, Australia’s wealth management firms and owner of MLC Australia, has partnered with Google Cloud to modernize its digital infrastructure and integrate AI across its services.
The collaboration aims to boost personalization, efficiency, and service delivery for 1.5 million customers, particularly through enhanced superannuation member experiences. Building on its real-time enterprise data and analytics system developed with Google Cloud’s BigQuery, Insignia is now deepening its use of AI and cloud technologies.
The roadmap includes tailored customer experiences through its new Data and Insights platform, supported by enterprise-ready AI agents built on Vertex AI to improve service responsiveness.
Insignia will also consolidate its on-site data centers by migrating VMware environments to Google Cloud, reducing costs and improving agility. Additionally, through Google Cloud Skills Boost, Insignia is equipping its teams with advanced data and AI expertise to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Insignia Financial’s Chief Technology Officer, Damien O’Donnell, commented,
“Our expanded use of Google Cloud demonstrates Insignia Financial’s ongoing focus on AI adoption and strategic innovation. This collaboration enables us to be more efficient, leveraging our data and intellectual property to deliver better outcomes for clients. Google Cloud’s agentic AI capabilities, supported by our seamless data layer made possible with BigQuery, will empower our customer service teams to make high-touch, highly-personalized experiences accessible to every member. At the same time, consolidating our previous VMware environments from three data center tenancies onto Google Cloud will dramatically reduce our on-premise footprint and its associated costs, with minimal disruption to applications and services—allowing us to focus even more on the crucial work of enhancing our member experience with assurance that our data is as secure and seamless to manage as possible.”
Insignia Financial anticipates that the migration will greatly reduce the complexity and manual work involved in managing critical applications, while also enhancing cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
Deeper integration with its BigQuery data lake is expected to deliver additional advantages, positioning the company to fully embrace AI adoption at scale.
